Brahea armata - Blue Hesper Palm
A fairly hardy palm from SW USA and Mexico. Bluest of plams. A true desert palm that can withstand extreme heat, ferocious sun and lots of frost.
Butia capitata - Brazilian Jelly Palm
the hariest of feather palms, able to withstand -10 to -12C
Chamaerops humilis - European Fan Palm
Tough as nails, reeputed to be hardy to -15C, also gets baked dry in summer. Very wind tolerant.
Chamaedorea microspadix - Bamboo Palm
Shade loving, clumping, slender stemmed palm - resembles bamboo canes. Hardy to -8C
Chamaedorea radicalis - Hardy Palour Palm
Pretty little shade loving understory palm. Reputed to be hardy to -12C. Flowers, fruits, and sets viable seed in Chalk
