Years ago I foolishly planted one in the ground, within 12 months it was coming up everywhere and it even crossed under a path and started pushing through the lawn. This might not be the best solution for everyone but I've had some success injecting glyphosate directly into the plant. If I ever plan...

I'd go with now, I planted a similar sized one two weeks ago that hadn't moved in a pot, since then a spear has opened and a new spear has put on about 4 inches so god knows what the roots have done. You can almost hear the plant let out a sigh of relief :lol: I figured frost is a good 3-4 months aw...

I bought a double about a month ago, separated them and both now have roots bursting out of the pot.

The baby one only had short roots so it needed staking for a week or two to help it in the wind but it's throwing up leaves like mad now.

I've had one on standby in high winds, I had to put it in a corner by the wall with patio chairs against it to stop it being blown away.

It's great to pop the pot plants in if we have a gusty day rather than come back to Ensete half way up the garden.

I'd love to get out there, I think we've had 5 days since march where it hasn't rained.

Hello all, I tried to reply to this a few days ago but had some registering problems.

They had loads for sale in blooms rugby as well as 5' basjoos and lasiocarpa, I bought a car full :D

I think the garden centres are called something else in other parts of the country.
