Re: Buying replacement plastic greenhouse panels

Thanks!

I'll have a look at that ebay stuff - it needs to be fairly sturdy as it's the more exposed side of the greenhouse.

Buying replacement plastic greenhouse panels

I need to get a replacement panel for my greenhouse and ideally want a plastic one as I have a little girl (from a safety point of view!). Has anyone bought them online and can recommend anywhere? I think it will probably need to be made to measure. My Dad mentionned ages ago he bought some from B&Q...

Re: Sue's teeny garden...progress

Sue I have one very boggy area in mine too. Am trying to improve the soil at the moment by digging loads of matter, but given the topography -am near enough at the bottom of a slope so the garden slopes towards the house and it also slopes across the garden from right to left - I wonder if I am just...

Love the design!

You have the same 'issue' as me with a long narrow North East facing garden!! I struggle trying to work out what to plant on the right hand shady side of my garden :?

Re: Palms near me

There's quite a lot round me - the pix of the larger ones, but quite a few gardens have smaller trachies. I have seen some really nice ones in people's backgardens when I'm on the train into work, but I'll never be able to get pix of them!!! Roger - I live in Beckenham, right up by the border ...

Palms near me

I took this pix about a month ago, but it's taken me a while to get my husband to send them to me as I took them on his phone.

These are all round where I live in Beckenham.

Billdango - it's still there and it's fine! I go past it quite often (last time was Friday). Not protected at the mo.

So I put it in the kitchen by the doors and it seems to be happy there. Produced another leaf :). Hopefully I will get it through winter!!!

Re: UK Storm - severe weather warning 27/28 Oct 2013

Kicked off for us about 5am this morning. Lots of wind, heard a few things bang about outside and then when I got up to look out at 6.20am, saw a tree across from us had gone. Our road is a cut thru to get up to the South Circular so it causing a few problems!!! Thankfully the tree directly opposite...

Another overwintering post- sorry!

I got this colocasia Black Magic as a present from my mum. I've heard they're quite hard to get through the winter and I am a bit unsure what to do with it. I could leave it in the greenhouse and hope for the best?!! Or I could bring it indoors and have it in the kitchen by the back door - I've got ...
