Wilko Lawn feed
Since I spent some of yesterday tidying up and repotting etc just wondered if anyone else used Wilkos Lawn feed as part of their plant feed? I was told by Mikesrareplants at the rare plants fair in cornwall that he uses it on all his bananas and elephant ears as its dirt cheap and has a good NPK val...

Kind of relentless sun now, Some of my full sun plants have been roasted so I'm really hesitate to dump my new colocasias out in that blazing heat.

List of reccomended online suppliers/nurseries?
I went to this place last weekend as I was down in Kent visiting my family and found it by accident when looking up Manihots. I came away with 4 or 5 plants and could have got twice that had I had the space in the car, probably the nicest and most reasonably priced one ive been to so far! http://www...

Musa folding leaves?
Ah interesting, I knew they liked feed but was unsure of the water. It seemed to be doing really well to my limited knowledge. Ill get a photo this evening. Its probably not in an optimal sized pot to be honest, but as its was doing so well I assumed it was actually ok. Its only after this absurd he...

Musa folding leaves?
Anyone have any suggestions as to what causes this? or is it just a side effect of the absurd heat we are experiencing right now in the UK? I have my musa in a pot in a west facing, protected spot. Since getting in may its sent out 5+ new leaves (one as big as my window!), its got 3 pups (one with s...

Do insecticides damage banana plants?
There is no doubt BUG CLEAR ULTRA is very effective and would get the job done .I was just offering a organic alternative. Ah for sure. As I said I hadnt had much luck, it takes a hell of a time to wipe them all and squish as many as you can so its quite depressing to come out a day later and see t...

Do insecticides damage banana plants?
I'll try soapy water tomorrow with a fine sprayer to help stop the run off. Just my opinion but ive never had any luck with the soap and water approach or blasting them off. I had aphids on everything BUT my banana funny enough but the only thing that did work was a heinous dousing of Bug Clear Ult...
