So are Acers quite tender then? I read a lot on here about them not liking wind/cold etc? They should be hardy, but the Japanese ones (Acer palmatum) hate the wind - it dries out the leaves which dessicate and go brown. They aren't very keen on cold, wet feet in the Winter either - so heavy soils a...

Ste defo watch out for Red Spider Mite :twisted: I lost a lovely large one this year ....I dont know about hardy the frost we had the other day has seriously marked one I have outside :roll:
