I agree with Kreos on the first one. The second one looks just like my Sasa kurilensis 'Shimofuri'. They both need to have their rhizomes restricted unless you've got a lot of space to fill.

I think you have the pick of the bunch there. I've grown 8 or 10 species/varieties of Ricinus over the last 10 years or so and 'Impala' is the best imo. It reliably sets good seed which keeps for up to three years so you should never need to buy seed.

The silvery foliage plant in the first picture is Plectranthus argentatus possibly the form 'Silver Shield' sometimes seen in garden centers. i think the plant in the second picture is a Salvia but I'm not sure which one.
