Re: Bulb ID?

Nice plants Dave, I've got a Hippeastralia growing at the moment but it's considerably smaller so no flowers this year.

Should've said you were at CGF Steve, could've prolly met you there  And spent too much money again

Re: The Pond

Wow Mel, it's coming on really well! Have only just caught up and it's progressed so much. I love the idea for the fireplace, sounds really cool! Great to see you getting 'stuck in' too  We've just been visiting some gardens in a local village today and one of them had a really nifty garden hut...

Re: gunnera this year

Looking great, Daz - I see you've got a flower there, too! I lost the growing tip on mine and I thought it was dead until about three weeks ago, but it's sent out three shoots from the base - tough as old boots!!! I doubt it will get to a big size this year because it's basically starting from scrat...

Re: Spring off to a great start

Reached a pleasant 17.4C here yesterday, and lots of sun, too. 10C now at the moment, but not a cloud in sight.

Check out the forecast - kinda good, but of course the best weather would arrive just as it's time for back to school

Re: Bishops hats and a couple of old queens! Epimedium.

Some seriously beautiful plants there John, all looking in fine condition! Might have to try some of these out, the flowers are very unusual and some nice colours in there, too. There's no need to apologise for excessive pics by the way, we all love 'em :DD Thanks for posting them!

Re: Mail Order Plants

Have only done a couple of mail orders here because usually I only want the odd plant, so P & P kinda makes it not very economical. The two I had done were with Jungle Plants (September 2007) - who, by the way, have a 25% off sale on at the moment, and Hill House Nursery (March 2009), and both g...

Big improvement already, and there's only one page

I wonder where 'Watoto Park' will be? At their current location? Sounds like it'll have some nice areas in it, and that tropical house sounds good. Might mean I have a tropical place to visit in Winter as well

Re: Dividing Cannas

Thanks for the advice guys, I'll wait until they start shooting then, which hopefully won't be too long. I have a couple in the ground but I think I'll be leaving those as they are, but there are quite a few in pots I'd like to divide.

Thanks again!

Re: Vale Exotics

It looks very nice Stuart, whatever it is!!! I think I've lost one of my Cyathea's, but another identical one just a few metres away has come through fine and has some new croziers in the crown ready to unfurl  The only different I notice on yours is that the stems/petioles (I'm not a tree fer...
