Phoenix Roebelenii

Went to our local B & Q yesterday and bought one of these. I thought they were a good price at £8.98. It needs repotting, so when that's done it will be sitting on the patio for the Summer. They have excelled this year with their tropicals and were lots of different sorts to be had. DSCN0392.JPG Di

Phoenix roebelenii

I popped into The Range (Ipswich branch) today for some drip irrigation stuff before my holiday.
I noticed they had a couple of fair sized Phoenix roebelenii for £39 each - just in case anyone is on the look out for one.

Phoenix Roebelenii - how hardy?

I've rather fallen for one of these lovely plants on sale in B&Q - looks from the web like it's not very hardy though.
