Re: Some pictures from last year...
Thanks again. They sell the Hibiscus as hardy here. Here it has been planted since last spring, but I know some other gardens where it has been planted longer and they survived the last horrible winters without any problems. Will post some pictures tonight with some first spring growth, palms are ex...

Re: Some pictures from last year...
Thanks all for the kind comments. @ Blairs. Sorry but Buxus is not my style. I admit that i've seen some beautifull old forms, but I never had and want them in a garden. The color is more a question like "you hate or you love it". I decided to make this bright yellow, as I like the contrast a lot wi...

Re: Some pictures from last year...
It has been hardy here, as it survived last horrible winters outside. If the storms did not damaged them badly they where still there, but they were ugly so I cutted them a little down. New shootings are on his way already...fern Rob wrote:That one is on my wish list this year.

I like that one as well, however it still got burned by the sun. It is located in the most shaded place from the garden, so better then this I can't give.fern Rob wrote:I like the Canna with the variegated foliage .

Re: No end in sight.
Stephen,
Rain has been average in december (65mm) and January (74 mm), feb is much wetter then normal so far with 66 mm of rain. Not that dry at all, but drier then some parts from the UK I guess.
Winter is mild, but winter 2006/2007 has been milder.

Re: No end in sight.
All I can say is, if you are not one of the tiny % flooded, or living right on the coast, this has been an excellent winter for exotics, and may go some way to restoring the confidence lost in winter 2010/11. Nice one Dave. Have been working here in the garden today, yes it was windy but at least i...
