Nice specimens, Roddenfolia does very well here & growing into nice size specimen's now...very expensive to buy at retail nurseries though.

Linearis ….100%.
I grow thompsonia as a very large specimen & this get's slight damage but recover's rapid in late spring/ early summer, I grow large specimen rostrate but here they take an age to look good once damaged.....mostly they never recover fully.

These certainly are fussy plant's in part's of uk, I bought a stonking one with approx. four feet of trunk & stunning head in 2011....planted out from the start in south/west position in 100% draining medium ,looked fantastic for five years then started a decline for no apparent reason,it's now grow...

Sparrow, as long as your careful removing pup's has a very good success rate. The mother plant will however die a lot quicker the more you remove!.
My once 12ft high plant was a baby machine for many years!.

Bob, good advice from jim but lots of palm's have ariel root's that happily live above ground level...nothing to worry about.

My large clump is planted in a natural spring but is still struggling to stay upright without extra watering in this heat...mine is in full sun..keeping in pots must be a nightmare in these conditions.
