alocasia with big wooden trunk

Today i noticed some alocasia's on 3 ft. wooden trunks in a local nursery. Is anyone familiar with these alocasia's? Would it improve hardiness?

It's the same alocasia i have in my courtyard but much bigger.

My ensete cavendish alocasia macro and amazonica ricinus are still puting out in conserv . Basjoo lasiocarpa outside have slow down no brown yet bougainvillea ok outside for now.

Alocasia watsonii and colocasia thai giant conditions

Is anyone familiar with the conditions needed for alocasia watsonii and colocasia thai giant? I know the colocasia is not like other colocasias but that's about all.The alocasia is getting smaller and smaller but it's not rotting away though.
