Yucca Rostrata More Popular Than Rigida?
Hi, I would like to know why Yucca Rostrata is more common to buy online / nurseries than Yucca Rigida - which I can hardly find any vendors for. Alot of websites claim it's hardy to -10 to -20 degrees Celsius. And generally known as the ...

Agave havardiana and Yucca gloriosa
I finished my arid bed in the Spring and misplaced the IDs for my two of the bigger plants .... just found them!! Agave havardiana and Yucca gloriosa. I would really appreciate a few snippets of advice, particularly overwintering. My intention is to cloche them to keep dry.

I was given this yucca this afternoon from a neighbour three doors down who's moving soon. It has a very strong blue colour to it. I was told it has been grown in a north facing position in full shade (under tree canopy) for the last ...

Yucca Gloriosa - Pups?
I finally bought some Yucca Gloriosa (Colour Guard and Bright edge according to the label). Whilst repotting and adding sharp drainage I found a number of what I assume are pups - like what you find with Agave but with no growing points ...

Drastic Haircut - Yucca Gloriosa
Has anyone else had to take drastic measures with their Yuccas this year. I've a few scattered around the garden but two have a severe case of black leaf spot, whilst the others have not been affected nearly as badly. So this afternoon got the scissors out and cut all the ruined leaves off leaving l...

Two new Yucca's.
Here are my two new Yucca plants which I bought on Ebay for £15 and £10 with their pots. I have put them in the front garden where they should receive plenty of sunshine. They were both pups from the seller's large, multi-stemmed plant.

yucca aloifolia
Can anyone tell me whether flowering depend on age or size or both. Do they eventually form a trunk? I have one about 3ft tall and I'm wondering if it's too close to other plants (namely a yucca gloriosa). Am I right in thinking they don't form a clump?
Any pics would be great hint hint

How I love the Yucca Gloriosa...
Not a mark on it, truly hardy to the bone, wouldnt mind some more of these, absolutely adore them, such striking colouration all year round, this is in my shady (can be damp) border too but looks the picture of health, although care is needed near the spanish dagger tips  http://i31.photobucket...
