If you want two completely different looking Trachies, grow T. fortunei, one in full sun and another in full shade. You will probably get an intermediate form in part shade :)

The trachies do get yellow and brown leaflet tips if allowed to get dry, and also as the leaves ... lose moisture and the tip turn brown again. See the yellowing on the lower leaves of my Trachycarpus. This was made worse by the drought of 2005/6 060508 Blue sky.jpg Fatsia may ...

Maybe they think the unsuspecting will buy another one labeled Chammy, if they already have a Trachycarpus :lol:
