Arisaema Utile Seeing The Light.

Nice one Kev, mine seem to be very late this year. In fact I'm beginning to wonder if someone has snuck into the garden and pinched them. icon_scratch icon_salut

Chammy flowering

In light of what Chad has just said, I'm going to try a different tack this year. I will let all my palms flower and then cut the flower storks off before they develop the seeds. Hopefully the best of both worlds. icon_cheers icon_thumright

Chammy flowering

I always cut my flowers off to get maximum growth. Then 2 years ago Karl told me not to and said he liked the look of them, so I left them on. Now I always leave them on, I like the look of them to! Also I haven't noticed any slow down in growth. icon_cheers icon_thumright

I have never tried it on Hostas, but it works on practically every other plant I have tried it on. You have nothing to lose. icon_salut

However I now realise it has flowered and is dying! Any one else got this problem as it is normally a world wide event. Has any of you tried to gro...

Japanese Blood Grass

I tried in vain to grow Blood Grass for a number of years Then some years ago I was AT a RHS show admiring the grass and a Japanese guy stood next to me and over heard me bemoaning the fact I couldn't grow the stuff,(I garden on sand) he then said "were I live it grows all over the place"....

Bamboo Screen / Hedge

I'm with Karl on this one, I have used concrete slabs cemented together but they still get through. I only have one that doesn't run which is a blue one but I cant remember which one! Sorry. However I doubt you would want to make hedge out of it I seem to remember they cost an arm and a leg and then...
