What are these on my colocasia

I Just want to know what exactly are these stems or what ever they are coming out the side of the plant. And what do they do. Sorry for a silly question. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c329/b19bst/5CE88AD0-44C5-48F5-8AE9-A44103791C06-10269-00000C817A7CABB6.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...

Colocasia Diamond Head differences

Eventually the leaves turned the glossy black I had expected, but it is subtly different. Plantes Noires Diamond Head 2012-08-01-16-42-26 ...

Are all colocasia good in full sun?

I know C. Burgundy stem and C. Illustris like full sun, but what about C. Fontanesii and ruffles?

Also, I have some Alocasia calidora and mayan mask. Are they ok in full sun?

Thanks!

The Colocasia experiment..... (A better way to overwinter?)
