ensete maurelii colour change ??

Hi to all jungle lovers......

This ensete started off like any other...then it had a colour change ,its in its second year

has anyone seen any others do this??

How come one of mine keeps growing small leaves. Last year they were double the size. I had it in the green house over winter with temps most the time between 60-70 f. Loads of leafs grew in there at the normal size. Am I doing something wrong or did I do something wrong over winter. This year I wil...

Ensete seperation

Went up to B&Q earlier an bought red Banaana ensete , one of them was a pup so they was attach to each other so i pull them apart and they snap i was wondering if i did it wright thing they both have loads of roots still attached to them ?

I was thinking of possible ways for people who don't have large greenhouses to get Ensete growing again in spring after dry storing them. This year I'm going to be able to put mine up against a bedroom window which gets a good amount of sun, but next year if it manages ...

Planting out ensete

I got a smallest ensete to plant out into the ground is now ok time to plant out.

There is slight chance of frost today in midlands but after that it does look ok 5-6 min temps at night

Does it need any special soil .?

... place I think so I am moving it in here - hope that's OK? In the autumn I dug up from the garden 2 x 5 foot tall Musa basjoo and 1 x 1 foot tall Ensete maurelli and potted them up to bring indoors to keep them growing over the winter. The Musa normally stay outside but I was moving them anyway ...
