Looks to me like it was a bigger specimen that got trashed in the cold winter of 2010.
Those small leaves are the right size for regrowth.

Yucca Rostrata in a potful of gravel it will be a magnificent specimen in the sun & warmth of the house.

Gagging to eject my big one as well but the last couple of nights the frost sensor has been on each morning.

You can get a liquid form of the blue pellets and it works a treat.
You only have to keep the cats off till it has soaked in and it goes on killer slugs for weeks.
Brilliant stuff.

I have a Sophora Microphylla, Sun King, don't know quite why I bought it but it has been a good buy. Its maxed out at 10' so far, provides a welcome bit of shade, its totally undemanding, is evergreen and a bumble bee factory when it flowers, which has already begun. In full bloom the ground vibrate...
