Ensete, sunburn and hardening off?

Would this be a good way to harden the ensete off to the sun with dappled shade from the bamboo? Last year set it back about a month by sunburning every leaf :-( Only just put it out this morning http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c400/pault123/2012canter/20130526_092716.jpg ...

Any tips on how to go about pupping ensete's from the corm. I have 4 which have rotted back to corm but the corm is still firm. Should I pot them into pure perlite, or 50/50 with compost? And should I bury the whole corm or leave the top above ...

is this ensete going to make it?

I cut the top and it doesn't look to good. The base however is firm and still shows a bit of colour. Should I cut until I see green or should I leave it as is..?

how are these ensete looking?

These have been brought back from the dead, were left out planted and brought in about a month ago. Do i need to trim the old stems? or will this happen naturally.
