have b+q started the sale now? i went on saturday and the Trachycarpus stock they had left was all full price. Even the small pheonix ... antarctica for £17.50 from £35 but not much else at the moment. All the trachies and chammies were still full price.

For winter's low light levels, yes!

Actually, it's hot for here at any time of the year, there's only been about 5 days that warm here the whole of this summer (and Trachies do very well here, too)

... they're just about everywhere anyway). i did say rarely mild, mark. mild for me is a decent run over 10 deg, say. anyway, we both agree wrapping trachies isn't a problem so that's sound.

i got 2 of akamba trachies this spring very fat trunks and full crowns... very nice 90cm trunk £120 great plants
