Re: The Great British Garden Revival.
The stumpery was to die for, but how many private gardens could accommodate one... not mine for sure.
There is a lot of renovation being done in our local park, and I dream they may do one, certainly got enough trees down to make a good start.

Re: Dry conservatory ideas
I am sure I have said this before but the idea of a conservatory planted / set out once and for ever is a mythical place. 25 plus years on, I have realised that what looks good in one season doesn't suit the next, and some plants prefer to be outside for the summer. Its about presenting what you hav...

Re: Vertical and succulent Gardening..
Seeing Alexanders post reminded me, there is a place very close to yours selling carnivorous plants. http://www.essexcarnivorousplants.com Mark lives in Thundersley, has open days to show off his national collection, been once ourselves. Very normal, average semi detached house, you have no idea of ...

Simon at Amulree sells them, I have both, so far so good unprotected this year.
I do grow them in a lot of gravel & potted though rather than letting them get waterlogged in the ground.

Re: Fern Robs Blog
From my experience with seed, and I am no expert in lawns, just had dogs ruining it... the seed sits there and germinates when it rains.
I used to lob so much seed around and then one day, bingo it would sprout and be off again.
I expect I wasted quite a bit but we did get mission accomplished.

Not once they get cracking..
The one I worry about is 20 years old and higher than the house at the moment, and its not a little skinny thing.
Best not grown in proximity to your house.

Re: Palm Centre Winter Sale 2013
Delivery is cheap £9.95
I had several boxes included at that price & the plants were of excellent quality.
If you wanted to say something negative, they were a bit on the large size, so if you are torn between 2 sizes err on the smaller.
Check out the cycads, they are to die for.

Re: Plants for next year.
Usual resolution for me... no more plants - I already have too many, too many for the space and too many to look after. I never seem to learn though. I will be surprised if you don't buy another tree fern or two. At the moment even the thought of the sales can't tempt me, my plants are high m...
