Always flowers at the end of the year or thereabouts when mature.
I have eight different varieties of Chamaedorea and apart from two grown outside (Radicalis and Microspadix) all the indoor ones are currently in bloom.

... better this way than having it free-standing. As Nathan suggested, Chamaedorea Radicalis is a good planted alternative, seeing off -6c as is C. Microspadix.
