Tetrapanax help!

Hi Jurassic,
I cant help much without seeing a picture, however it is probably one of two things, It could be damage sustained at the nursery, or the leaves that haven't been destroyed in the winter tend to drop in the spring. Hope that helps. Let us know what happens.

Regards Jas.

Parrot's.

I have only just spotted this post, I used to keep parakeets and cockatiels when I was younger but I'm not sure it would make the garden more tropical if you keep them in a cage, unless you have a massive walk in flight cage that was planted up however the parrot family is notorious for chewing ever...

A Canary Twitter

Been a while since I twittered like a Canary. Thought I'd post an update on my Cyperus alternifolius. At the end iof last year I detached a few if the plantlets from the top and stood them in water to root About a month later I potted them up with very uneven results. Growth struggled thereafter as...

Help needed with new tropical bed

Tatter is correct which is why you need to go and look yourself. There is building sand, fine. Plastering sand, sharp. Concreating sand, gritty. You will probably need the latter. The pea gravel may be to big for your needs. Be aware the top soil my not be suitable for your needs so try a couple of ...

Help needed with new tropical bed

Hi Kate, may I ask a few questions, what are you building your raised bed with, what size is it . and what is the soil like in the garden? I cannot help you with the mix as I garden on sand so don't have that sort of problem but I'm sure someone on here will help you. You can get your sand, grit, gr...

Gran Canaria Gardens.

Thank you both for your suggestion I did indeed go and enjoyed it very much. The most enjoyable part of the garden for me was the Cacti garden and the ponds which were full of the noisiest green frogs I have ever heard! Must be because it was spring. However you should have warned me I needed a clim...

Hydrangea seemannii.

Hi Karl, from what Charlie replied I am beginning to wonder if I'm growing the same plant!!!!!! I have 2 I bought about 10 years ago, but due to a change of plans I never managed to plant them out then. One is still in a pot and the other I planted in the garden about 2 or 3 years ago. The one thing...
