Re: October 2013 predictions?

Does seem early for a Greenland block, probably reflects how quite the Atlantic is at the moment. Not good signs with a huge pool of cold weather coming down over Scandinavia - oh well could be worse if this worse January with those Synoptics

Re: Musa Basjoo in Pots when to bring indoors

Why would you bring basjoo indoors unless a harsh frost is forecast?

Tom you have jinxed the weather   looks there could be the first frost of autumn later next week. Time to take care of the tender plants.

Re: October 2013 predictions?

Well Autumn is definitely here soon with polar air streaming into Siberia and Northern Scandinavia next week. What does this mean for our Winter I dont have a clue

Best just to enjoy the next few days of decent weather I think it may be last for this year.

Re: October 2013 predictions?

How can any one possibly predict what the winter is going to be like. Even the Met office with all the resources at their disposal don't have a clue.

Re: Your daily weather blog -June 2011 onward

After the rain cleared through this morning turned out be a nice sunny day. Max of 18C

Looks like we may get a chance to dust off the BBQ's for the last time this weekend, infact it looks very nice out until midweek. Temps up to the mid 20's - not bad for the end of Sept

Dwarf Cavendish Flowering

My Dwarf Cav which I have had inside, south facing lounge for almost 4 years is flowering this year ( will try and put some pics later).

Just wondering whats the chance of it producing fruit and will it die after it has flowered?
