Herbal Essences blue brugmansias

I was flicking through the JungleSeeds catalogue last night whilst my wife was watching some rubbish on telly. I looked up and there was a computer generated brug on a shampoo ad! :ahhh!: One of the flowers was blue, though, and that can't happen.

Brug over-wintering question

Now that there has been a couple of light touches of frost, I have put my Brugs in the garage as was suggested by others. As the garage has no windows, it will be quite dark in there. Should I expect the Brugs to drop thier leaves over winter and if not, will ...

Late blooming didn't ruin my brug....bl**dy caterpillars did

I bought a nice variegated brugmansia from Steve at Phoenix a few months ago. It's leaves got HUGE and nicely marked. Then they got chewed  A couple of weeks ago it started to show flower buds - I've been watching it and picking ...

Brug cuttings .... what to do with them now?

I've got some brug cuttings. About 12 cm long. They have white 'nibbles' all over them, but no roots yet. Given the time of year, what should I do with them? Pot them up and pop them somewhere cool/dark to hibernate? Grow them on ...

A few Brug buds at at last

I've just noticed that my B. sanguinea has a couple of small buds on it. It's the only one out of about 9 (all different varieties) that has any, all the rest look like net curtains. With the nights being chillier should I bring it inside, it is in a pot? Or will they stand a few cold nights? I know...

Stinky brugs

My brugmansia x candida 'double white' cuttings (which took incredibly quickly, look heatlhy and grow well) are now releasing a pretty unpleasant odour, not disimilar to cat pee :ahhh!: Its ok if I can keep the room well ventilated, but if they're shut up for a while they really honk. Is this normal?

Forking Brug

I am sure I have read dozens of times that Brugs all need to fork before they flower. Well I have one that has a bud on it and it has no fork.

As you can see its not exactly straight but its not forked. So have I got an awkward plant or do the books lie
