Potting up eddoes

At the weekend i will be potting up my 'tesco' Nampi Eddoes that have sprouted and have roots shooting out.
i know Y.K says 50/50 multi purpose compost and perlite, is there and sorts that would produce better results?
thanks Tom :?:

Colocasia "Nampi Costa Rica Eddoes" (4/6 now shooting pics)

... progress here, hoping I'll find some pink stemmed, rex leaved beauty hidden in this stock  If not i'll be happy to see how big the standard Eddoes get as a trial run before investing in the specialist nursery stock. Few breaths into zip bags and put on top of my boiler, will it too hot for ...

Eddoes now available in Morrisons.

I spotted these in my local Morrisons today. The may have been there for a while as Ive managed to avoid the produce aisle for the last 3 weeks.

They may have been available in the big cities, but I'm in a small town, so they are probably in all stores now. I got 3 for 90p

How to start off my Eddoes?

I bought a couple of dozen Eddoes a few weeks back. Haven't got around to starting them off yet ...

I could put them in a blow-in-the-bag as YK's video showed, but it would be a bit easier to do them in bulk.

Could I put them all in a bag with a bit of damp vermiculite or somesuch?

Thanks.

Soft on eddoes and cocoyams

I'm always experimenting but I think it's the results I DON'T expect that keeps me doing it  How about this one with three eddoes and three cocoyams bought from an ethnic market last month for £1-50. All six tubers were the same size, plump and firm but with no sign of any growth. ...

What temps do they need for winter. Our greenhouse is going to be on the cool side with heating for only the coldest nights. Is this going to work or should it be a bit warmer.
