Bamboo damage - Sparrows

I think it's bisetti, I don't think Bamboos get bigger than this in the UK it must have been over 20feet tall.

I was given a clump of black bamboo but it has gone brown. Its had plenty of rain but no new growth. Is this type a fussy one to transplant?

I'm trying to establish a collection, got 25 different types maybe.
Anyone fancy exchanging any small divisions? For types we don't have.
Pm me if so

B&Q black bamboo?

I'm looking to aquire some black bamboo for the rear of my garden. I've checked a few websites and ebay, but B&Qs seem the best value so far. £40 for some about 2m + with about 5/6 canes. Has anyone got any experience with this item? Thanks Steve

Stopping select bamboo culms how?? pruned but they carry on!

As you can see in the pics i'm pruning any new culms which are coming up under my kerbstone on the top of my wall, the problem is there still growing! Is this just temporary, or is there some kind of technique properly terminate a new culm ? http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c400/pault123/2012canter...
