Looks like they decided bubblewrapping tree-ferns isnt so good after all!!!
Although treating a Tetrapanax as a perenial is a bit unusual!!!

... ). What does everyone think would be good to grow? I've got some sikkis,basjoo, a maurelii, various gingers, cannas, Tetrapanax etc. Anyone got any other great suggestions? I'm going to try not to spnd lots of cash so large palsm and tree ferns are probably out

... I very much doubt you will get a T-Rex from seed, as it is not a distict species, just sport or cultivar. My guess is thet you will get a standard Tetrapanax papyriferus not the Rex form. If the plant was already potted up earlier in the year it would be ok in a greenhouse and planted out in spring. ...
