Hi there i just had a look at my cycad and were the workers in the garden center have trimmed the leaves off the cycad, there is now some see through jelly stuff on the top of the cycad were its been cut is this glucose cheers dave

Went out to the garden centre yesterday with my mum and got a chammy (£20) and cycad (£25) here they are, also in the that photo that was a plan of what i might of done but i changed my mind and iv planted the chammy in a differnent place where there are no exotics:

saw a few on ebay, what do u rekon lol, which is a fast growing cycad, and i suppose they are almost indoor plants to establish (well in winter), which would take how long lol????

Cycas revoluta going cheap at Ikea
I was at the Wembley one on Saturday, and they had these in 2 sizes (about 1 and 3L pots) for £7 and £9. All were in leaf and were a decent size. I wish I had got one now!

I have a few of these cycad indoor as house plants and notice the leaves turing pale and yellow. What causing this? Too dry, not enough water?
