Hi CK, thanks for the response (you too Charlie!), this is a photo of the container.

It has no holes in the bottom and sits in the larger plastic wicker one. There is only a surface layer of gravel on the top, and I have given it an aquatic plant feed. I have a feeling it’s missing a nutrient of something, I did think about giving it a dose of lucozade! (Other well known brands are also available!). As I mentioned previously it is planted in Westland aquatic compost.

icon_scratch Beats me, when I had one years ago it just grew. But then I did have Koi in the pond which gave it extra nutrients. Sorry I cant help. icon_salut icon_thumright

Thanks ck, I’ll bide my time and see what happens :)
I’ve just taken this photo and there are signs of green appearing on the leaves, so maybe I’m just being too impatient, I thought the leaves would initially appear more green than yellow!

A week on and some sunshine, and ribs of green are starting to appear, plus some colouration on the stems. Hopefully my initial thoughts were unfounded :)
