Do Tetrapanax papyrifer prefer sun or shade? I've got one doing quite nicely in full sun but would like to put a second one in a shady spot but not at the expense of slowing growth.

That should not be a problem, so long as it gets some light. Just make sure it has enough space.

No problem, mine is mostly in shade and it doesn't hold it back at all

I have just planted one of my T-Rex's today and the other is in its pot. So i cant wait to see the one in the ground take off :) . It isn't in full sun more shade than sun but it does get some sun light, i have been wondering how i could give it more light and the 0nly option is to go 15ft in the air to remove more conifer branches to open up the area more. :)
