I'm growing Dragon trees in Wales so why not Dragon fruit! Any one got other Dragon themed plants we can grow in Wales for a laugh. :lol: icon_thumright

Hello,

Its an old post but it popped up on top of the google search 😬 is the dragon fruit still alive??? Would be interesting to know how its doing after few years...if its still around 🙄 I have started growing dragon fruit from seeds so curious to know where can it get me!

Hi there, i planted seeds from a dragon fruit from Asda about 3 years ago and it's in a conservatory in UK. It has just started flowering! I have read that it was very unlikey to happen so just wanted to share

Yeah it's not very popular with my partner tbh.
I keep cutting it back and folding it in on itself so it doesnt get too big but it looks a mess!

Oh, dragon fruit! I have grown it a few years ago but unfortunately its leaves were getting brown and it finally withered. I must did something wrong because at the beginning it was growing perfectly. It is a kind of cactus which is not so demanding. What you need is a well drained soil (it prefers acidic soil but it will grow in any other) and a fertilizer. You should water it when the top of the soil is dry to the touch. Don't forget about the temperature. It need about 60-80 degrees Fahrenheit.

First flower is out for tonight. I have read up and learned that this type will not self pollinate though unfortunately.
