Tetrapanax papyriferus or Tetrapanax papyriferus 'Steroidal

Post by Dim »

Hi Guys

I recently landscaped a small garden with a few exotic plants ... I have a protected corner where I am considering planting a T-Rex

the is a recess (between a 2m high wall, and the side wall of the house) .... the wall is south facing (full sun), and the gap between the wall and the house wall is approx 800mm wide (it's difficult to explain without posting a photo)

however, I think if I plant it flush to the house wall, it will receive the full sun and will be well protected from wind

I have been trying to read up about the T-Rex, and there appers to be a few different species, some hardier and larger than others

from what I have read, the Tetrapanax papyriferus 'Steroidal Giant' is the larger/hardier one

also, how bad is the problem with being invasive?

sorry if this has been discussed before
