Tetrapanax flowers
Re: Tetrapanax flowers
No surprise, as they're close relativessanatic1234 wrote:Fantastic, they remind of the fatsia in ways.
Still just in bud in Adrian's pic, not actually out yet.

Re: Tetrapanax flowers
Adrian, the t rex you very kindly gave me earlier in the year is a very handsome plant now. It's five foot tall!Adrian wrote:Plenty of flowers on the Tetrapanax papyrifa 'rex' this year
I love it.

Re: Tetrapanax flowers
Planted this Tetrapanax papyrifera at a business establishment near the River Thames nearly fifteen years ago[ as a single plant in the corner of the border, not realising its rampant tendencies. There are flowering plants all the way along the border of the same size. The contract gardeners planted a Fatsia in the tub in front of it and it does look lost.
Took this shot earlier this month.

Whats the palm sticking out a couple of fronds in the left foreground?
Re: Tetrapanax flowers
A close-up.
Think this was just plain Tetrapanax papyrifera. Don't know if the likes of T-Rex or 'Steriol Giant' were in cultivation back in 1997.
