Just spotted this on Ebay;

I wouldnt have thought the variegation would have necessarily passed on to the seedling plants? Would be worth a go if you even got one with the variegations...

$50 for a maybe that will most likely not reach a decent size in my lifetime?

I'll pass thanks.

Nice to see the pic of a beautiful Aurea though.

Kata can knock them out cheaper than that!

I like variegated plants but doesn't seem to do it for me on cycas.

Gosh you people are harsh! :lol:

I dont mind the look of it, its a bit different to the usual and demands a bit of attention, but everyone has their own personal tastes. I can see how it may look sickly or frost burnt to some...

Red the only time Ive been fleeced on Ebay was when I bought about 10 varieties of unusual chillies from a seller. Seeds arrived promptly, germinated well, positive feedback left....

When the chillies finally fruited I realised Id been sent 10 lots of seed of the same common old variety :x sent a message to the seller but no response...

You always take a gamble with seed I guess.

Can't think that this is likely to be very reliable. For starters the information lists it as a member of Cactaceae - good one! Variegation is rarely passed on exactly from generation to generation. It is possible out of a batch of seedlings there might be variegated offspring but its an expensive gamble.

As a self confessed lover of Cycads, I have to say that this varigation really doesn't do it for me at all.... I try hard to avoid my Cyacds going yellow.... :lol:
