Ensete montbeliardii growth teaser

Post by Yorkshire Kris »

Just a quick teaser to show what I'm working on. That is a High Definition quality video of some bananas growing. Make sure you watch this on the highest quality aand FULL SCREEN!

The thing to look out for is the emerging leaf which released water from the tip of the rolled up leaf.

MUCH MUCH BETTER to come!!!!!

I was just testing it yes I confess! If watched in full 1080 quality and full screen you can see the water dripping off the new leaf.

If it's not too cheeky a question, what make is your camera and how much did it cost?

I bought a DV Cam pre HD and I think I need an upgrade. The quality of that video is streets ahead of anything mine will put out and I want to do a professional looking video of my completed greenhouse project in Spring.

I have employed someone to take a photo every 15 minutes using my D300 Nikon SLR.

my old nikon d200 had a timelapse function, the d300 replaced it so it likely has something similar, called interval recording.

you can also connect a DSLR to your computer vis USB and use software to trigger the pic

Is the ensete 'Montbeliardii' growing in this one kris or is it just to see if you have it positioned right? all i can see is the Alocasia growing to the right hand side? won't the camera need to be higher up to catch the 'Montbeliardii' in full action with the rollers opening? just i thought.

To be honest Kris you need the camera pointing away from the window. I could not see the drip however hard I tried, as the background is constantly changing and drawing my attention away from the plants
Best regards
