The link doesn't work but isn't this just a Fortunei or Fortunei x Waggy that a guy called Kiril grows in Bulgaria presumably near the Black Sea? Sorry but isn't It a bit like someone i know who grows the sought after Washingtonia 'Dave' variety in Kent!

I did and it was a hot mess  basically says whats stated guy in bulgaria grows these and there hardy to -27c . his might be but there is so much variation in fortuni and in seed you can't say all the seedlings will be that cold resistant

Similar stories with Trachycarpus Palms all over the world. I have 2 Trachycarpus Darjeeling seedlings that will most likely turn out to be plain Fortunei, or possibly Naini Tal or even Takil.

The surprise is waiting to see what they become but highly unlikely to be anything substantially different, or hardier, than what we already have.

Even if certain groups of palms have withstood -27C, and I very much doubt it would be a Breamar type -27C, you have no proof what you are buying is that.

My Bulgarian Trachycarpus has pulled like any other small Trachycarpus I have-
they all get tougher as they get bigger-if only they didn't pull when
small, that might happen sooner...they do have a nice compact shape though :)
