Identify these plants please

Post by dorothy »

Hi I brought these two plants about a month ago. Unfortunately they were the last ones left and had no-labels. I asked the staff and they did not know what they were. The one under the tree fern has grown really well and it has a pink edge to some of the smaller leaves. I want to know if it is hardy so can leave it over winter? :?

The top one looks like Aloe ferox, will take some frost, but will be damaged so best to keep frost free icon_salut

Agree with the above, Aloe and Lamium. I find Lamium creeps slowly though slugs eat it and can keep it in check.

Hi thanks for your replies. Checked on Internet and you are right with the identification. The lamium is beacon silver. Cannot believe how quick it has grown. It was only a tiny little thing when I brought it. Think I am going to have to move it because it has already gone onto the lawn!
