Beautiful - makes me want to move to East Anglia asap. My mum came from near Norwich - have had relatives from Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex - perhaps seeing your garden, I may be a new neighbour????? Lovely.

Looks great, I'm hoping to get my front done next year and have been considering going for the gravel, palms look for (slightly) easier maintanence than the back!

I supposed you'd call this a Medex style front garden. It certainly works icon_thumleft

Pdid, that is the reason why I did my front med style so it was low maintenance. Apart from having to move some plants into my shed/greenhouse for the winter and water the two potted plants i have, It pretty much looks after itself. So then I can concentrate most of my time to the more tropical planting in the back garden.

Hupor are you planning on moving to east Anglia if so which part?

Cordy it's an acanthus molliis it's a perennial and the purple that you see in the picture is the flower spike.

A lovely garden Yatsura, colorful too,

My Agapanthus is in flower, a blue one but very poor in flowers, same last year I expected more from it this year.

What do you feed your Agapanthus Yatsura?

Kata I also have a couple of blue agapanthus as we'll as the white ones and they all perform really well for me every year.
They must thrive on neglect, because I don't water or ever feed them. All I do is when planting them is add loads of sharp sand mixed with a little bit of compost. For me that seems to work well.

Here are some more pics of my agapanthus

Agas are supposed to have stems as stiff as barbecue sticks..mine lop over the side of the pot instead of standing proud.

It can't be they came from the Homebase cheap box, could it, maybe past their sell buy date or something. This is the second year like this.
