Ive only just discovered this variety of banana! it looks great!
Has anyone had any that survived the mega winter? as folk are saying this is as tough as a musa if not more so?

Yes I have one that surived this winter (it was slow to start this year than most though)It was wrapped up in fleece
then a bamboo tripod over ,over which a fleece jacket was placed(allows ventilation). A plastic bag at the top of the
fleece jacket to prevent rain/snow entry . They are usually root hardy. I also have another one treated the same in another more exposed part of the garden alongside a Basjoo , this one did not survive the Basjoo did ( re sprouted from
root.

I always struggle with these so now overwinter in heated polytunnel.

Mine is doing well but has never flowered. In fact I'm going to pot it on this weekend to try and give it a boost.
