If only I had that much fun last night! The coldest I had here was -20.5c last night and its not supposed to be that bad tonight. The wind chill did drop down to -31.6c and almost took my entire shed out with a couple gusts over 40 mph..glad it is winding down..projected 13c on saturday 8)

Done that before it has to be boiling water though
My parents live in Edmonton Canada and can't believe the amount of fuss being made over the weather
They get cold snaps like this 2 or 3 times a year which last for 7-10 days
The latitude is the same as Leeds but get temps down to -40's without wind chill
This was Sundays forecast with a 8kph wind

This is the top of the Stratosphere (above the Jet) showing the vortex combining with a high pressure over the Pacific to shove air across the North Pole and down into the USA. Makes it look like parts of the Russian Federation must be having the plus side of the USA's negative.
Thats fascinating!

Unfortunately, wildlife will be taking a big hit in this.

They keep going on about Global Warming wiping things out, but the truth is, Ice Ages saw some of the largest mass extinctions other than meteor strike.
