Chelsea 2018

Post by Tom2006 »

What have people made of the Chelsea flower show this year? Yet again I didn't manage to go in person but enjoyed the television viewing. I was left a bit underwhelmed by the show gardens this year. The Japanese garden was superb as always. What stood out for others?
Most wanted list - Any Young Trachycarpus and/or fern.

Really liked the bit they done on the fern forest in Ireland , looked awesome. Didn't see much else of it tbh.
Looking forward to going to gardeners world live in a couple of weeks though. Went a couple of years ago and it's a great day out.

I went for the first time ever. I liked the show gardens but I have to say I have been more impressed by some of the mature gardens that I have visited. I appreciate the work involved but the plots are quite small and I found only worth looking at for a few minutes. I really liked the grand pavilion with all the perfectly grown varieties.
