I don't know if you know but basjoo fruit is not edible.There are only three nanas you could get edible fruit from in the uk,supper dwarf cav,dwarf orinoco and maybe rajapuri,but all would need to be grown in greenhouse or conservatory.the rest get between 16 to 25 feet before fruiting.

Thanks to all of you who took the time to reply to my "stupid mistake"
I grow banana plants because i love the big leaves, i did know that once the plant flowers/fruits the plant dies and that the fruit is inedible and full of seeds so I'm told but it would still be nice to actually have a banana that fruits in this country.

Never mind "i wont ever make that mistake again"

I still have 2 Cavendish dwarf's and an Orinoco that might give fruit one day.

The fruits of Musa basjoo are not edible but the nectar in the flowers is delicious! And thats with more Musas the case.
