Here are pics of my two Trex plants at the moment.

One in the front that got cut back after the winter.

One in the back that didn't. Last years flower has split the growing point in two but one is growing much stronger than the other.

Yours Dave got the cat, mine got the milkman, not seen him for ages now  I really should charge the camera battery and post some photo's of my T-Rex's,
I am wondering if mine could be related to Adrian's :?: it might be a little slower than his growth wise but it's building up to something big, I can feel it in my water something is going to happen with it in the next few yrs

Hi Simon
The growing point that eventually died back on mine recently was on the only branch on which I kept both growing points, after all my three branches 'split' following last years flowers.

Interesting you say one is stronger than the other, my 'weak' one, that eventualy died back, was the 'older' of the two growing points on the branch. The 'newer' one, which was lower down on the branch (emerging below the flower stalk) was the one that grew most strongly and eventually 'took over'

Just a shame there are six leaves lying flat on the gravel. The tidy gardener in me wants to cut them off, but I can't bring myself to do it.

I cut the leaves off mine once they lay on the ground. This was is a root cutting from Steve Jacobs' variegated one in October 2008, so just under 23 months from a root cutting  Fast growing or what. There is a pic further up this page of the same plant a month ago there is a huge difference :ahhh!:
