OK

so we've all spent too much, go admit it , you're amongst friends and your now back home with your new additions,

so what did we all get?

anything you have been after for a while and not found til today??

any treats you've bought yourself for being a good boy or girl ???

3 new Restios to replace winter losses
1 additional Chammy
1 new Dicksonia antarctica , only a 1 footer, stuffed with fronds just bursting out,
1 Woodwardia Fimbriate fern
1 colocasia esculenta , it was too cheap to not buy
1 Aeonium for my bulging collection

1 Puya Chilensis

a nd a few plants for the new raised bed on the front garden

Sounds like someone had some fun then Dave icon_thumleft

I've got cramp in my wallet just thinking about it
If I ever got to a place like that I'd end up divorced mate. SWMBO would not take kindly to me turning up home being followed by a 7.5 tonner full of plants I'd bought.

Indeed it was a good day!

I got:

1 Yucca aloifolia to be hardier replacement for my cut down Yucca guatamalensis.. (given they look pretty much the same!)
1 Colocasia 'black magic'
1 Aeonium scwartzkopf
1 Lampranthus haworthii

got given some swaps including an Echium pininana a tropical looking hardy Euphorbia.

Aeonium aside I'm starting to get abit more realistic with my planting strategy hehe!

apologies to Dave Brown, sorry but i had to let your plant go as it was part of the money needed for a butia we had promised ourselves.also sorry you couldnt make it for reasons beyond your control.

I am seriously pi**ed off that i couldn't go today. The so called 'party' that i was 'forced' to go to was utter sh*te, it piffed down with rain all day, hardly anyone spoke to me, would much rather had been at akamba than what i had to endure. I stayed all of half an hour.

.lucky you stephen. Its a beautful plant in full bloom with quite large yellow flowers.

I can tell you a friend got it through a very cold winter leaving it in the conservatory. I saw the friend this week, the plant is doing well.

great idea kata, would all have to board in akamba front carpark and get off in the rear one otherwise it would take a week picking everyone up from all corners of the country
seriosly though, there were a lot of folk there today i didnt recognise or know and feel kind of rude not saying hello if you know what i mean

Get anything good Red?.I meant to ask you to look at the Philodendron selloum, but all the sun that burnt my head yesterday must've cooked my brain,or what passes off for a brain yesterday.I forgot to ask, dummy icon_scratch icon_scratch .

I have got 60 seeds from Jungle seeds, but they usually are somewhat niggardly in germinating.

How far is Desert to Tropical from West Hatch near Taunton?.I'm likely to be going up to Junkers Nursery at West Hatch in a couple of weeks time to pick up some Magnolia's,might go on to D to T,if I have some spare dosh.Have they got any blackboys?.
