Post by sam140 »

Hi everybody,

I have an alocasia mac on a shady window sill in the lounge. As I am fairly new to ariods can you advise me whether I should be growing it on in the greenhouse yet. It is unheated.

Best soil & aspect etc and best time to finally plant out.

Regards

Sam

It won't be so bothered about the temps Sam. Mine has been out in my unheated covered bit for about 3 weeks now, but they get sun burnt if grown inside then moved into the sun. I left mine in the shade but forgot to move it as the sun went round, now all the new leaves are toasted. Those that grow in the sun are fine. it is just aclimatising existing leaves that is a pain
Best regards
Dave
