Sowing Self-Saved Seed from Cannas

My Canna Mystique has set some seed (and it looks like others varieties that I have may do so too).

Is there any point saving the seed? I presume that Canna Mystique will not come true from seed? (although I do have a few species that most probably will).

Cultivars don't come true, its worth sowing them though as you could have one that is better than the parent

Of course, you could end up with a load of deformed plants that are just crying out to be composted
