1. What triggers the Ensetes natural dormancy period in Africa and what ends it?
2. For Ensete Ventricosum how long does their natural dormancy period last each year?
3. Why do the roots die off when we store ensetes yet they retain them in their natural environment?
4. What is the maximum amount of time an Ensete can be stored dry for before it starts to suffer and die?

Agree with Goggs
but
3, how do you know the roots survive 'in situ'
4, depends on size, but is the only food crop in Ethiopia to survive a complete failure of the rains, so up to 20 months.
