I really don't know the name of this tree. All of a sudden in our city these trees appeared everywhere on the roadside, exotic hotels, shops, and lots of them in parks. Every corner I take with my bike this tree is really eye catching to me. So I bought it from the nursery and they told that it already had a flush on April 2011 that I missed to see as I got it in June 2011. Later I came to know that it is as poisonous as much as it is beautiful and may kill humans too. Here is the spectacular top view of my
Cycas Revoluta.

One thing I observed in the nursery is that 5 of them that were imported from outside looked so beautiful than those raised and grown here. All of these
Cycas that are grown here has red sand and the leaves are ugly dark green with burnt spots whereas those that were imported has glossy leaves grown in strange black sand. Mine is the imported one with 8 inch trunk diameter. This tree turns their heads whoever passes behind our home.
