E.leucoxylon sustained no cold damage
That's great news as I've got some seedlings of these that I will eventually plant out.

How old do these have to be to flower?

My one flowered 3-years after purchasing as a small 3-foot tall plant.

Hi rod?

Sorry for the late reply but I was waiting for late winter to see how my Syagrus romanzoffianum has done.

So far everything is okay as the lowest temperature we have had so far in Southampton has been -1c.

I will post a thread with a picture later this month or in February.

Glad to report that all palms and other exotics okay in Southampton so far.

That's good news Bill ( -1°c is extremely mild so far, hope it stays that way )
If that's as cold as it has been so far this winter, your syagrus would have needed no protection so far. You could have had an Archontophoenix growing happily, as well as Rhopalostylis sapida.
I hope that our next winter is like yours.
