5 foot kentia palms at b&q.
Re: 5 foot kentia palms at b&q.
I've left all five in the pot. Would it be best to separate?....I quite like the lush effect.
Most wanted list - Any Young Trachycarpus and/or fern.

I won't be separating mine as they dislike root disturbance. They are real slow growers anyway and any setback may stop them for a year or two.
Best regards
Dave

Thanks Dave. Good to hear as I like the lush effect of the numerous plants in the one pot.

They were £10 for a 5-6 footer at my local GC a couple of weeks back. All gone now.

Heres one I used to have
It was huge.
Single trunk as well not like those sold as multitrunks.

I damaged the roots moving it, pot too big and heavy and palm too top heavy and I snapped a half of the roots as it was tipped on an angle on sack trucks, it went down hill and ended up having a swan song in the garden where it was left to perish.
The pot now lives at the Squirrell household and homes a nice Agave (I think)

They had coconut plants about 8ft tall at my B&Q around a month ago for 6 quid each but had no idea what I would've done with them...
I hear they die over here unless planted in the ground with sufficient light levels all year round? (and heat of course)
